The Green Party came top in a YouGov poll asking people whether they viewed parties favourably or otherwise.

The poll reflects the generally high opinion people hold for the Greens at a time when they are increasingly disillusioned by the old parties.

They respect us for sticking to our principles, campaigning positively and not engaging in the yah-boo-sucks politics that characterises the behaviour of so many MPs.

By contrast Green MP Caroline Lucas has long been one of the most widely admired and respected politicians.

If people like us so much, why don’t more of them vote for us? Many people say they would vote Green but worry that, under our unfair first-past-the-post voting system, their vote would be wasted.

In the current campaign for elections in West Berkshire on 2 May, we are getting a great response from people and, in some areas, a majority of people surveyed say they will vote Green – if they believe we can win.

We do think we have a great chance of winning seats in some wards and we can make a huge difference to the Conservative-dominated council if we do get elected.

So if you like us – please vote for us!

And remember …
