Jane Elisabeth Livermore
I have lived in Thatcham for 23 years and have four grown-up children, all of whom attended Kennet School. I have a plot at Henleys Allotments in Thatcham where I enjoy growing fruit and veg.
I was brought up in London and after university spent 10 years working in Cumbria before moving to Thatcham. I have worked in the IT industry for over 30 years, mainly for large global corporations covering a variety of technical and management roles.
I was responsible for large financial budgets, managing suppliers and staff as well as providing high quality services to clients. If elected I would utilise this experience on the council to serve the people of Thatcham and West Berkshire.
Last year I became a freelance consultant to spend more time with my elderly parents, who moved to live with me in Thatcham just over five years ago.
I have been a campaigner for environmental and social issues for most of my life, and recently I have been active in opposing the green bin tax, the badger cull and campaigning on behalf of homeless people.
