Danielle Louise Bryan
Standing:
I became a member of the Green Party in 2015 as I was excited by being part of a group who were clearly active locally and shared my vision for my community. I care deeply about dealing with the the climate crisis on a local level as well as pushing for wider changes.
As a Newbury resident I have been lucky enough to meet many fellow members of the community and hear their concerns. I have lived in Clay Hill for almost a decade and in that time I have worked for and volunteered with various local charities dealing with issues of debt, youth crime and food bank demand – as well as homelessness and affordable housing. I have petitioned for the council to become carbon neutral by 2030 and saw a positive response to this campaign.
I believe that the Green Party has the right priorities and response to important issues both locally and nationally and I am certain that we can make positive, transformative and achievable changes. I have seen us successfully raise questions and propose solutions regarding the environment and funding for vital services.
We listen carefully to the needs and priorities of local residents and if you elect me I will be a visible and active member of our community. I aim to offer a fresh perspective and voice.
